There are many other uses (other than flying them for fun) that RC vehicles have given us and they have actually helped when it comes to things like fighting wars, catching criminals and doing jobs no human could actually do.

Spying

Many radio controlled helicopter as well as the more traditional RC aircraft are actually used for spying and obviously the planes are used more because they can go higher, are quieter and have longer lasting fuel on them. Many spy planes are based on the RC designs and if it wasn't for the invention of these it may not have been possible to win many of the battles that both the USA and UK have won over the years.

Police Work

The police have actually started to use RC helicopters to look in on the people they are wanting to catch, this is a good idea but is it right. This has actually only been able to recently because of the noise made by the copters, this has now been almost stopped. They are now able to listen and watch so they can provide evidence in a court of law against a suspect.

Bombing?

These RC choppers can actually delivery small bombs to targets as well which is pretty scary if you think about it.

Hobby

One of the big reasons these things were even made was so people could have a bit of fun with them after a long day working, although they are not easy to fly. This doesnt seem to be the use that people want to use them for but lets be honest they were made to be used in this way.

Of course if you are not into those copters why not have a bit of a look into those RC tanks, they are pretty cool to drive too.
