Food Habits At University

If you are currently leaving away from home either studying at university or college then you pay want to pay attention to this. Of course if you are one of the parents some of this may actually come as a bit of a shock.

While there is no way a student can regularly afford to get the catering companies in that doesn't mean that there excuses when it comes to not eating properly.

It Could Be On It's Way Out?

Although it would seem that there are many foods out there that you wouldnt suffer from if you ate them out of date there are equally a lot of foods that would bring some harm to you if you eat. If you are looking for a date and it is a use by one then you shouldnt touch it the next day after it has gone off as it could cause you harm, best before dates are different and shouldnt do you any harm. However you will notice a bit of a poor taste or texture. These are not likely to make you unwell.

Leftovers

Unless the takeaway has been in the firdge overnight it is never a good idea to go out and eat it for this reason alone.. The major reason for this is because that left in the right condition bacteria can multiply thousands of times over. The right temperature just happens to be room temperature so make sure you stick it in the fridge. If you are in fact looking to make the meal hot again make sure it is not warm but piping hot.

Greenish Foods

If you spot that nice green patch on your bread then the worst things you can do is cut that bit off and eat the rest. This is because the mould will produce invisible toxins and they can make their way across to the rest of the food.

So although you cant get on that outside catering do make sure you do not eat all of the wrong foods.
