Uses Of RC VehiclesGeneral,IRS Mileage Deduction,Articles

There are many other uses (other than flying them for fun) that RC vehicles have given us and they have actually helped when it comes to things like fighting wars, catching criminals and doing jobs no human could actually do.

Spying

Many radio controlled helicopter as well as the more traditional RC aircraft are actually used for spying and obviously the planes are used more because they can go higher, are quieter and have longer lasting fuel on them. Many spy planes are based on the RC designs and if it wasn't for the invention of these it may not have been possible to win many of the battles that both the USA and UK have won over the years.

Puxatony Phil Groundhog Sees His Shadow

Only 6 more weeks of winter!

Thousands of people gather at the small Pennsylvania town of Punxsutawney to see an overweight groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil predict the weather.
Punxsutawney Phil is a groundhog resident of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, USA.
Each February 2, on Groundhog Day of each year, the town of Punxsutawney celebrates the beloved groundhog with a festive atmosphere of music and food.

According to the legend of groundhog day, the groundhog's behavior is a way of forecasting the weather. If the groundhog pops out from its burrow, sees his shadow, and then disappears again, it will mean that winter is to continue for six more weeks. But if the groundhog does not see its shadow, then it will not be scared to come out of its burrow and winter will soon end. It is believed that because the groundhog lives underground, he is not used to having a shadow. The groundhog will therefore be scared if it does see its own shadow and go back down below.

Oh, if he doesn't see his shadow it is only about 6 weeks till spring!
