To many of us in the developed western world it would appear that everyone and their dog now has a mobile phone. But we all need to remember that around 50% of the worlds population have never received or made a telephone call.

This really highlights the technological gulf that exists between the developed countries and the developing countries.

More and more people are deciding not to holiday abroad this year, instead preferring to stay at home and avoid the cost and stress of travelling. The credit crunch has affected a lot of people and many are finding themselves short of money to spend on luxuries like holidays. Combine the recession with the current strength of the euro against the pound, and it's really not surprising that the number of UK holidaymakers booking their holidays at traditionally popular European destinations like Spain and Portugal has plummeted.

This morning at 06.02am precisely my whole existence was shattered and my life seemed to be over. I had been listening to the news and what I heard broke my heart.

American Idol Judge Leaving!

"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell said he'll be leaving the talent show at the end of the season.

It premiered in 2002, and since then  has been an entertainment phenomenon.
I think the reason the majority of people that watched it were wanting to see the contestants when they first sang.
Recent years has seen a decline in the number of people,who in my opinion, made the show such a success.
The people who had no talent and thought they did were hiliarious! This was why I watched.



 Its new season premieres Tuesday.
